2. ENTRY FEE: $100 per boat and only two anglers per boat.

It is recommended that contestants pre-register at CASANEKY.ORG. Contestants desiring to register at the ramp must do so during the official registration period which is defined as 5:30 am-6:30 am. Boats will be released based on their registration number. Anglers are responsible for having the proper fishing license and pay the applicable ramp fees themselves prior to the tournament.

4. SAFETY: Safety is paramount, and anglers must recognize that, and as a result, CASA seeks

to limit those hazards with reasonable safety rules:

a. Safe boat conduct and speed limits must always be observed by competitors. During the official competition, competitors must always wear a US Coast Guard-approved chest-type life preserver when the combustion engine is in gear. This life preserver must also be strapped, snapped, or zippered securely. Violation of this rule shall be the reason for disqualification. “Fanny Pack” preservers are not allowed. In the event a boat is being towed, all anglers in the towed boat must wear a life preserver.

b. Any time the combustion engine is operating and in gear, there must be a driver in the driver's seat in full control of the boat and have the ignition-kill device attached to his/her body.

c. In the event of an emergency, competitors should call 911 immediately and then notify tournament officials. Competitors may leave the boat and seek safe shelter when danger may be imminent.

d. Anglers assume all liability and will not hold CASA or its supporters liable for accidents or incidents related to their participation.

Anglers participating shall observe this code of conduct and the applicable rules for the specific event in which he/she is participating. Anglers shall always conduct themselves in a manner becoming a professional. Angler's actions will not reflect unfavorably on CASA, its members, officers or representatives, or sponsors. To this end, anglers shall use their best efforts to demonstrate professionalism and integrity in support of the sport of bass fishing. Competitors are expected to follow high standards of sportsmanship, courtesy, safety, and conservation.

a. Courtesy: Maximum courtesy must always be practiced, especially regarding boating and angling near non-competitors. When fishing around other anglers competing in the CASA Tournament, you must maintain a distance of 50 yards if the other competitor’s boat is anchored.

b. Laws: All competitors are bound by the prevailing statutes and regulations of the state(s) within which the tournament is being held which include a valid fishing license. All anglers are required to have a valid fishing license for all tournament waters established by the director.

c. Drug/Alcohol: The use, possession, or consumption of illegal drugs or alcohol during tournament hours or during pre and post-tournament activities is not acceptable.

There will be only one official point for check-out in the morning and check-in in the afternoon, as designated by the tournament director. Competitors not at the checkpoint at the designated time of 3:00 pm will be penalized at the rate of 1 pound per minute to be deducted from their total weight for the day. Contestants more than 6 minutes late for weigh-in will be disqualified. The official start is 7:00 am, and the weigh-in time is 3:00 pm. In the case of adverse weather conditions, the tournament director will open a weigh-in at 1:00 pm.

a. The total weight of each competitor's catch will determine tournament standings and placement. Only largemouth, Kentucky(spotted), or smallmouth bass will be weighed.

b. The creel limit shall be five (5) fish and must follow size limits and slot limits at Cave Run Lake. Largemouth and Kentucky(spotted) bass must measure at least 10 inches but cannot touch 13 inches or be at least 16 inches or longer. Smallmouth bass must be at least 18 inches. The Golden Rule measuring board will be the official measuring board of this tournament. If a fish is outside of the regulations, it will result in disqualification.

c. Only one courtesy check will be given per participating boat and must be requested before turning over your creel limit of fish to CASA Tournament officials

d. Culling must be done on the water. No culling is permitted once the boat is on the boat trailer.

e. Dead fish penalty will be .8 (half pound) per dead fish and no more than two dead fish may be part of the five (5) fish creel limit. A dead fish will not be permitted to weigh as big fish.

f. The big fish prize will go to the single "live" bass based on weight. Should there be a tie for big fish weight, the amount of total fish for the tournament creel will be the tiebreaker. If this does not break the tie, the lowest registration number will break the tie.

8. TIE: Ties will be broken using the following criteria:

a. Largest number of legal fished weighed.
b. Largest number of legal live fish weighed.

c. Lowest registration number.

9. If an infraction of any of these rules are observed by another competitor, a handwritten appeal must be turned in to CASA Tournament officials before the conclusion of the weigh-in.
